This page describes a planning grant from the State University of New York to explore the use of games for teaching and learning. Specifically this project will seek to develop a plan to create a new SUNY-wide academic program that promotes collaboration and learning through the development of immersive environments for learning Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) content.
A primary goal of the project will be to promote interdisciplinary cooperation among college students and faculty involved with the program. We foresee students and faculty from departments of Art, Science, Education, Computer Science, Music, Business, and beyond contributing to the design and development of immersive environments that will help students in k-12 settings to be more engaged in and to learn more in STEM fields.
